Have you noticed that the dirt’s been kicked up a bit near Western and NW 178th (2nd Street) in Edmond? It caught my eye a few weeks ago, so as soon as I had a chance I took a few minutes to stop by and see what’s going on. Cue the drumroll… It’s a new neighborhood called Chisholm Creek Farms!
Driving through the first few streets I saw that Timbercraft Homes is the primary builder and is offering a nice mix of traditional, transitional, craftsman and contemporary designs. I stopped in the model home and met Courtney, the community manager. Before more customers came in she let me know that the model was a three bedroom, two bath, home with about 1700 square feet and is priced at $231,000. Since she had customers to attend to, I took a quick look around on my own.
The 1700 square foot model home was very open and bright with modern finishes. I can see buyers falling in love with the kitchen. It has a large island that’s sure to be a gathering spot, shiny white quartz counters, dark wood cabinets, and a trendy subway tile backsplash. The Frigidaire appliance package featured was pretty snazzy too! Am I the only one in love with that vent hood?
Before I left the model home I took a quick look in the master suite and was so surprised by how detailed the design choices were for the price point in Edmond! The bedroom and bathroom are separated by two large barn doors hanging from a rail. Inside the bathroom I noticed double vanities with vessel sinks, a large walk in shower with seamless glass doors and a pebble tile floor. Needless to say, I was blown away!
I’m sure the designs and pricing of Chisholm Creek Farms will appeal to a broad range of Edmond homebuyers. The neighborhood is still in the beginning stages and all the model homes aren’t open yet. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it.
