Welcome to Oklahoma City Cowboy Chicken!
Cowboy Chicken recently opened in Oklahoma City near Quail Springs Mall (13801 N Pennsylvania) and I’ve already been there TWICE! Cowboy Chicken is a fast casual restaurant that serves all natural wood-fired rotisserie style chicken and sides. As soon as you walk in the door, the smokey aroma of the chicken roasting on an open flame will make your mouth start to water. We joked that someone should make a candle with that scent because we would definitely buy it!
The menu includes classic plates and family packs of chicken pieces with choice of sides like okra, fritters, and sweet potatoes as well as sandwiches and salads. I’m a sammie girl, so I tried sandwiches at both my visits. I had the Original Cowboy; a chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, onion, and chipotle mayo when we went for lunch. Then when I returned for dinner later in the week I tried the Laredo; chicken breast with guacamole, chipotle mayo, and melted cheese. The Original Cowboy was my favorite of the two.
While we waited for our food to be served, we noticed several daily specials for different groups advertised on the table. These events and details can be found on their Facebook page.
- Spirit Days for customers wearing OSU, OU or Thunder gear
- Kids Night
- Hometown Heros Night
- Throwback Thursday (1981 prices)
Delivery and online ordering are also available.
Overall I’d definitely recommend Cowboy Chicken (read my review on Yelp). The service was top-notch for a fast casual restaurant and the food was fantastic. I think next time I’ll swing by and just pick up a whole rotisserie chicken and take it home for dinner with my own sides. A whole chicken is only $8.99, not much more than grocery store prices!
