Today I toured a beautiful home in Glen Eagles Estates. If you’re not familiar with that neighborhood, its southeast of Western and NW 150th in Oklahoma City/Edmond Public Schools boundaries. Construction began in the neighborhood in the mid 1980’s and continued until 2005. There are about 245 homes in the addition that meander along curving streets and cul de sacs.

Homes in the neighborhood sit on large lots that have been painstakingly landscaped. A typical home has about 3400 square feet of living space with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a dedicated office or study. Most have multiple living and dining rooms and three car garages. Pools are common.

Glen Eagles Estates is a perfect place to live. Widely considered to be in Edmond, the neighborhood is actually in Oklahoma City with students attending Edmond Public Schools (Charles Haskell, Summit Middle School, and Edmond Santa Fe High School). The location is convenient to shopping, dining, and hospitals. Access to the Turnpike is less than one mile away, so you really can get anywhere in the Oklahoma City metro quickly from home.

The homeowner’s association for Glen Eagles Estates is voluntary. Membership dues are $175 annually. The HOA maintains the neighborhood entrances and easements. There is not a community pool or playground. There are sidewalks throughout, allowing neighbors to safely walk or jog through the community.
