Looking for a little extra space, maybe a place to build a shop? Then Highland Farms near Kelly and Simpson in Logan County is for you. Highland Farms is a 4 Corners Homes development offering shop building approved 3/4 acre lots in a traditional neighborhood environment complete with a community pool. Students in Highland Farms attend Edmond Public Schools.
Yesterday I toured four brand new homes in Highland Farms at a special event 4 Corners was hosting for area Realtors. Each home had a bright open concept living room, kitchen, and breakfast area that I think will appeal to a lot of homebuyers. Our favorite features were a utility room that connected to the closet in the master bathroom, oversized covered patios, and thick granite countertops. We were kind of disappointed in the size of the bedrooms and the lack-luster lighting package chosen (lets just say lots of boob lights).
Worth noting, the neighborhood does have one element that may be a negative to some prospective homeowners or a positive to rail fans. The BNSF tracks run along the eastern edge of the addition behind Black Hawk Road. About twenty trains run through Edmond each day (more when grain production is up). I happened to be inside a home on Black Hawk Road as a train passed by. Yes, I could hear it but surprisingly it wasn’t that loud. If there had been a TV on, I may not have even noticed. Considering how many homes on Black Hawk are already happily occupied, it must not be that big of a deal to everyone (wink)!
4 Corners has definitely found its niche, with large home-sites and the ability to add shop buildings. If you’re looking for a little extra space, let’s go take a look at Highland Farms!
Very often 4 Corners Homes offers different programs including closing costs paid for the buyer. It’s of course subject to credit approval and there may be some restrictions. But it’s always worth asking about!
