I first discovered Meritage Park while canvassing the last Parade of Homes. At the time, a few model homes were complete and many lots were empty. I went back this week when an associate in my office was hosting a Broker’s Open (an open house for area Realtors, usually with food and prizes). See a CENTURY 21 Goodyear Green listing in Meritage Park here. The small neighborhood has come a long way since my first visit. Bustling construction and beautiful homes have replaced most of the vacant lots.
Homes in Meritage Park
A typical home in Meritage Park has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and between 2500 and 3300 square feet of living space. Most have high-end finishes that discerning home buyers are looking for today like; quartz countertops, solid wood floors, and sparkling subway tile. All of the homes I toured featured large open concept floor plans, gourmet kitchens, and outdoor living spaces. I loved that most had flexible living areas that could easily adapt to a family’s changing needs and function as an office, playroom, or formal dining. Custom elements like sliding barn doors and a master closet that connected with the utility room were common.
Meritage Park is a small gated neighborhood. The homeowner’s association fees include access to a community pool and pavilion in the back of the neighborhood. It also allows residents to spend their weekends doing something other than yard work (unless they want to) because lawn maintenance is included in the HOA fees. Students living here attend class at Edmond Public Schools.
You can find this new community on the west side of Santa Fe between Danforth and Covell in Edmond. Recreational activities at Mitch Park and the Edmond Soccer fields are not far away. Shopping, schools, and access to public transportation are all within a mile of the neighborhood.
